About Matalai
Where the Wild Meets the Water
Our location
Located on the Machangulo Peninsula in southern Mozambique, Matalai House is one of a small number of exclusive villas within the protected Machangulo Nature Reserve.

Here, complete privacy and intimacy are ensured.

The reserve is bordered by the Maputo National Park to the south, creating a unique sanctuary that connects pristine coastline with wild African bush.

This is a truly unique setting, one of the only locations on Earth where it is possible to see elephants and migrating humpback whales in the same field of view.
